We can obtain results of your pet’s blood tests quickly allowing us to develop a treatment plan. We are able to assess your pet’s thyroid function to perform T4 testing and analyze samples for intestinal parasites and screen for heartworm disease. Dentistry

We offer dental procedures on an appointment basis. If your pet has a foul odor coming from the mouth, then your pet may be in need of some dental work.  If your pet is older, Dr. Barnes may want to perform pre-operative blood testing to verify your pet’s body functions are optimal.  If you feel your pet may benefit from a dental procedure, call us at (870) 856-3243 to set up a dental exam. The doctor can examine your pet’s mouth and give you a better idea of total costs, possible extractions, and medications.. All pets are monitored during dental procedures to watch respiration, oxygen concentrations, heart rate, and pulse.

Patient Monitoring

We have all seen how some pets get distressed when a veterinarian attempts to measure vital signs.  To make the process easier on the pet, we utilize the VetGuardian to collect the pet’s vital signs and deliver the information to various devices via different platforms (laptop, phone, etc). The photo shows the monitoring device (grey box) mounted outside the pet’s cage with no wires attached to the pet. The monitor gathers the pet’s vital signs then transmits to the laptop displaying the pet’s heart rate, real time video, and respiration rate.  We can continuously monitor vital signs from multiple devices at multiple locations via a web-based interface. This device helps us watch over your pets in a stress-free manner enabling clinical efficiency and better veterinary care for your pets. We are committed to improving the quality of our veterinary care facility as our goal is to provide the best medical care possible for your pets.
