Dr.Danielle Barnes

Dr. Danielle Barnes graduated from Calico Rock School in 2004 then attended Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science with a pre-veterinary emphasis and minor in chemistry. She graduated in 2015 from St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies, with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. She is married to Shannan Barnes and they have two beautiful girls–Charleigh age 7 years and Ryleigh age 5 years. Dr. Barnes established her practice in January 2023 taking over the practice formerly know as Shaw Veterinary Clinic founded in 1983 by Drs. Roger & Donna Shaw.

Lesley Woodard

Lesley greets you with a smile each time you visit with your pet or call. She performs many valuable tasks in our office in addition to answering your questions and keeps our office functioning well. She handles the scheduling of appointments and assists the doctors with the care of your pets while staying at our hospital. Most importantly, she keeps our office running smoothly. She recently completed an online program to receive her Veterinary Receptionist Certificate of Excellence. She shares her home with her dogs Molly and her Boxer Bender. We are fortunate to have Lesley at the helm of our practice.

Micayla Corbitt

Micayla Corbitt joined our veterinary staff the first of May 2021. She has a compassionate nature with experience as a CNA. She has been around animals most of her life and is an avid horseback rider. She is licensed for rescue and rehabilitation of wildlife and has had a life-long ambition to work in a veterinary hospital. She assists the doctors treating sick patients and is learning the front desk tasks under Lesley’s training. You may see her either helping to admit your pet into the hospital for treatment, assisting the doctor with your pet’s medical treatments and surgeries, or assisting Lesley at the front desk.. Micayla is certainly an asset to our team..

Chastity Alexander

Chastity Alexander comes to us from Munford, Tennessee where she worked at a veterinary hospital for 10 years as a receptionist, helped with treating hospitalized animals, and assisted the doctors. Chastity has two daughters, a husband, and most important of all, a dog named Smokey. Smokey loves to chase and play with grasshoppers and get into trouble. Chastity helps in all areas of our hospital from the front desk to lending a hand treating sick patients but her primary tasks involve answering the phone and scheduling appointments. When you visit our office, be sure to welcome her to our staff.

India Mott

We want to welcome India Mott as a new staff member for Barnes Veterinary Hospital. India began working in November of 2022 and has been a very quick learner. India graduated from Highland High School in 2012 then continued her education at Ozarka graduating in 2013 with her CNA degree. After graduation, she worked in several human health arenas including Eagle Crest Nursing & Rehab, Elite Home Health, and Batesville Hospital. She has a 5-year-old daughter and an 11-year-old son along with her Chihuahua Cookie pictured here. India assists the doctor with patient care and surgical procedures. She also performs blood analysis testing for the sick patients and pre-operative blood work for surgery patients. Please welcome India when you visit our office.
